Yes. affordability, market and priority given to richer countries will affect food preference! elephant

Yes. It is the most important factor. Ability to buy things will allow us to gauge the kind of food we are allowed to buy.

Yes ! Of course ! If I have lesser money , why should I buy expensive foods ? The more money I have , the more choices of foods I can buy !

If the purchasing power you mentioned in the question signifies MONEY, yes!, the more money we have, the more range of food we can buy. Like a Star @ heaven However, it is not the MOST significant factor. Like a Star @ heaven For example, a housewife bakes her homemade pineapple tarts at home and the taste is better than the pineapple tarts that are factory sold outside. Like a Star @ heaven And the cost for the pineapple tarts that she baked is definitely lesser than the pineapple tarts that are factory sold outside and she can add more ingredients to suit the family's taste. Like a Star @ heaven So in my opinion, the food skills is the most significant factor. Like a Star @ heaven "A meal of abalone and sharks fin is nothing compared to homecooked food by your mum!"
